How to Activate Your Canada Telus eSIM: iPhone & Android Guide

Follow this guide to activate and set up your eSIM.
Step 1: Submit Activation Details (Required)
Important: You must schedule your activation date before your trip, or the service will not work.

- Activation Time: Your plan activates between 00:00 - 05:00 (PST) on your selected date.

Step 2: Device Checklist
Before installing, please confirm:
Wi-Fi Connection: Must be connected to the internet.
Device Unlocked: Phone is not carrier-locked.
Correct EID: Ensure the EID provided is correct.
Option 1: Automatic Installation (Recommended)
When your eSIM is ready, your device will show a message that a new mobile plan is available.
- Look for a notification on your screen saying "Carrier Cellular Plan Ready to Be Installed" or "New mobile plan is available".
- Tap Continue or Download eSIM.
- Your phone will handle the installation in the background.
Option 2: Manual Installation
If you don’t see the automatic notification, don't worry. You can find the pending plan in your settings.
For iPhone Users (iOS)
- Open Settings.
- Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Look for the banner "Carrier Cellular Plan Ready to Be Installed" or tap Add eSIM.
- Select the pending PhoneBox or Telus plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Ensure Data Roaming is turned ON for this new eSIM.
For Android Users
(Steps may vary slightly by model)
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet or Connections.
- Select SIMs or SIM Manager.
- Tap Add eSIM or Download eSIM.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download your plan.
- Once installed, toggle the eSIM ON and enable Data Roaming.
Troubleshooting
If the installation option doesn't appear or fails, try these quick fixes:
- Check Wi-Fi: Disconnect and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Restart Device: A simple restart often triggers the "New Plan" notification.
- Manual Search: Go to Settings > General > About to see if a carrier update is waiting.
- Network Selection: If you have no signal, try manually selecting Telus in your Network Selection settings.
