Yes. A real 010 Korean number is included. After online passport verification, receive calls and SMS for free, plus 5 minutes of calls within Korea.

How much do calls and SMS cost after top-up?

Incoming calls and SMS are free after passport verification. Your plan includes 5 minutes of calls within Korea.

Can I use data without passport verification?

Yes. Mobile data works without passport verification. Connect to SK Telecom when you arrive in Korea. Verification is only needed to enable calls and SMS on your Korean number.

Who can verify a passport, and how?

Calls and SMS are available to eligible foreign visitors staying 90 days or less.

After clearing Korean immigration, verify your passport online, daily from 08:00 to 22:00 KST.

Korean passport holders are not eligible. Dual Korean nationals can use data only. Each passport can verify one active plan at a time.

Can I receive verification codes by SMS?

Regular SMS is supported, but identity-verification (PASS) and payment texts are not. A Korean number does not guarantee app registration or banking verification. Keep access to your home number for bank codes.

Is the data truly unlimited, and at what speed?

Yes. You get unlimited data at a sustained 100Mbps, with no daily cap or usage-based slowdown. This plan uses SK Telecom's 4G/LTE network in South Korea. Actual speeds may vary with signal and network conditions.

Can I share data through a hotspot?

Yes. Hotspot is supported with no separate data cap. Share your connection with a laptop, tablet or another phone.

Can I use FaceTime, WhatsApp and other calling apps?

Yes. FaceTime, WhatsApp, LINE and KakaoTalk calls work over mobile data. These calls do not use your included domestic calling minutes.

When does my plan start? Can I install it early?

Your plan starts when you first connect in Korea, with each day counted as 24 hours.

Install before you fly on Wi-Fi, using one-tap installation in the ByteSIM App or your emailed QR code. Installation alone does not start your plan.

Will this eSIM work on my phone?

Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Check your exact model and regional version on the ByteSIM compatible device list before buying.

What if I delete the eSIM or change phones?

Do not delete your eSIM profile or move it to another phone. Once deleted, the eSIM cannot be used again, even if your plan has time remaining. Install it on the phone you will use in Korea.

Can I get a refund if my plans change?

An unused eSIM may qualify for a full refund within 180 days of purchase. Eligibility depends on installation, activation, usage and the reason for the request.
