When it comes to saving data usage on Samsung devices, there are various methods you can utilize:

  • Monitor Data Usage

Stay informed about your data consumption by checking the Data Usage section in the settings. You can track your overall usage and see which apps use the most data. Adjust your habits accordingly to optimize data usage.

  • Enable Data Saver Mode

Samsung smartphones typically include a Data Saver mode that reduces background data usage. You can enable this feature by going to " Settings" >" Connections" >" Data Usage" > " Data Saver".

  • Restrict Background Data

To prevent apps from consuming data in the background, navigate to " Settings" > " Apps" > [ App Name] > " Data Usage". Then, toggle off the option for background data usage.

  • Optimize App Settings

Some apps have settings that allow you to control their data usage. For example, video streaming apps may allow you to adjust the streaming quality to conserve data. Check the settings within each app for data-saving options.

  • Disable Auto-Sync and App Updates

Turn off auto-sync for accounts and disable automatic app updates to prevent unnecessary data usage. You can manage these settings under " Settings" > " Accounts and Backup"> " Accounts and Settings" > " Apps" > " Google Play Store" > " Auto-update apps", respectively.

  • Utilize Data Usage Warnings and Limits

Set data usage warnings and limits in the settings so that you receive notifications or have your mobile data disabled when reaching a specific threshold. Access these settings under " Settings" > " Connections" > " Data Usage" > " Data warning and limit".

  • Use Wi-Fi When Available
